Lausanne Jardins is a cultural event that combines landscaping with reflections on the city. Over one summer, the event embeds gardens in the urban space, i.e. in streets, squares, neglected plots, buildings’facades and roofs. The result is some 30 contemporary gardens drawn from an international competition, strung together along a themed walk. Access is free, 24/7, for four months, from mid-June to mid-October.
