As for the previous editions, works created for the 2019 Festival are subject to an international competition in order to maintain Lausanne Jardins’level of excellence and the prestige achieved in the fields of landscaping and urban planning. The call for applications was launched on the 24th of August 2017. The call for applications, detailed regulations and description of the sites selected are available for download below.
Erratum: the site plan A.Parc de Valency is scaled to 1:1500, not 1:500.
The competition is open to landscape architects, designers, architects, innovators and artists worldwide.
The application file (maximum three A4 pages) must include:
— A presentation of the applying team (which must include at least one landscape professional, who takes leadership of the team).
— A motivation letter mentioning the team’s preference for a particular site (specify 1st and 2nd choices). The jury reserves the right to change these if the geographical distribution of applications is too unequal.
— Two to three references for projects, whether completed or not.
The creation of inter-disciplinary groups is strongly recommended. A maximum of 120 applicants will be selected out of all inscriptions. Applications should be sent to: Association Jardin Urbain, c/o Service des parcs et domaines, avenue du Chablais 46, Case postale 80, 1000 Lausanne 23 or by email at info@lausannejardins.ch.
